    Security Engineer  ( AWS/ Linux)

    Location: Reston, VA

    Long Term Contract with C2H option


    US Citizen , Green Card, GC-EAD - Clearable to Public Trust

    In-Person Interview Mandatory



    • Strong engineering skills; Linux (administration and configuration), AWS, DevSecOps and Jenkins
    • Must be able to assess the client’s security risks using the NIST 800-53 and 800-36, then implement any changes to the servers or tools based on the assessment
    • Need to have the aptitude and ability to pick up the analyst/documentation side
    • This consulting role will have internal and client facing responsibilities that encompass security analyst, engineering, and operations skill sets.



    • Responsibilities include securing on premise client project delivery and corporate infrastructure as well as ensuring the security of client systems.
    • Perform security analyst tasks such as analysis of security control assessment findings and development and maintenance of security program documentation, system security plans
    • Perform technical engineering and operations tasks such as security control configuration and implementation, security systems operation, incident response


    Skills Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Cloud Computing Services , Linux (RedHat, CentOS, and/or Ubuntu) , DevSecOps  and Agile methodologies, JIRA, Jenkins
    • 8+ years’ experience in Network and Systems Administration
    • Extensive experience in NIST SP800-37Rev.1 Risk Management Framework
    • Experience in BurpSuite or equivalent DAST tool
    • Experience in Fortify or equivalent SAST tool
    • Experience in Security Unit Testing
    • Experience in Development and maintenance of security program documentation (security policies, procedures, standards, etc.)
    • Experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing
    • Experience in Analysis of security assessment findings, control implementations, and resultant security documentation updates (Plan of Action and Milestones, System Security Plans, etc.)
    • Excellent Technical Writing skills
    • Experience working directly with clients
    • Experience with creating and maintaining detailed documentation
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent multitasking skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and consistently deliver within deadlines
