    Job Description:

    The SCI Security Officer is responsible for assisting in all aspects of SCIF management and accreditation including TEMPEST. This position requires in-depth knowledge of all SCIF types, as well as expertise in two or more of the following technical security disciplines and be competent in the others: Automated Information Systems, Lock and Key Control Systems, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Video Surveillance Systems, TEMPEST, ICD 705 SCIF construction standards.

     

    This position shall assist in scheduling and performance of physical security inspections and security staff assistance visits (SAVs) for subordinate organizations for Direct Report Units, Army Service Commands Army Commands and the Military District of Washington, approximately 450 SCIFs.

     

    Additionally, the SCI Security Officer will assist in the review and coordination of co-utilization agreement requests with program security offices and other intelligence community agencies, and Memoranda of Agreement/Understanding, as well as assist with the maintenance of the SSO database, which includes, but is not limited to, entering new data, correspondence and quality controlling file records.

     

    Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree and ten (10+) years of experience that can be a combination of related experience in industrial security and the U.S. military;
    • Experience in the U.S. Government, DoD, Intelligence, and Industrial Security management;
    • Technical security expert in two the following technical security disciplines and be competent in the others:

    Automated Information Systems, Lock and Key Control Systems, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Video Surveillance Systems, TEMPEST, ICD 705 SCIF construction standards.

    • Knowledge of SCI required regulations (ICD 70 series, DoDM 5105.21 Version 1.3 Vol. 1-3, AR 380-28, and other applicable regulations and instructions that may be issued by cognizant authorities during the course of the performance of the contract. Familiar in areas of security concerning Physical, Personnel, Information, Technical, Transmission and Security Incidents (Violations and Infractions).
    • Familiar with all SCIF types (Permanent SCIF, Temporary Secure Working Areas, Secure Working Areas, and Tactical SCIFS (TSCIFS))
    • Experience using a variety of software applications that include Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
    • Experience effectively communicating through clear, concise products in various media, and in communicating technical and non-technical information to a broad range of audiences. 
    • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
    • Must possess a Top Secret Security Clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI access.
