    Java Developer – Senior Level                                                                 

     

    US Citizen for Federal Agency

    Active Secret Clearance at a minimum required

    Onsite Tyson’s Corner, VA

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Understand the requirement and design and develop portal based application
    • Good understanding of JSR-168/ JSR- 286 portlet specifications to develop and troubleshoot web portlets
    • Develop portlets, user interface involving HTML5, CSS, Angular JS
    • Develop service side middle tier Java/JEE based interface to perform database operations
    • Experience working on UNIX platform and aware of unix commands
    • Understand and code database model, queries, persistent layer
    • Hands on experience on entitlement, personalization, portlet configuration
    • Understanding login, authentication and authorization and various web security (role-resource based)
    • Troubleshooting and resolving portal errors and issues
    • Participate in peer code reviews, follow best practices and design patterns
    • Ability to work in distributed team including onshore and offshore and integration team
    • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders and partner with Business Analysis and Quality Assurance to ensure quality software is delivered
    • Experience working in Agile development methodologies

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience as a Portal/Portlet developer
    • Experience working in portal based tools like liferay, websphere portal, oracle weblogic portal etc.
    • Strong web development skills including Angular, HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery) and XML/XSL
    • Master's Degree (can be substituted for a Doctorate plus 4 years, Bachelors plus 8 years, Associate plus 10 years, or High School plus 15 years) or higher and six years of experience in analyzing functional applications and design specifications for functional activities.
