    Integral Consuting Services, Inc. is currently seeking a Comptroller to join a team performing work in support of the U.S. Department of State (DOS);This is a fast paced, high impact opportunity requiring a motivated candidate ready to add value to the team.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include:

    • Accountability for invoice compilation and submission at both Consular Support Centers (Kentucky Consular Center & National Visa Center). Authority to make immediate corrections to the invoice, and supports the Offeror in providing cost estimates for proposed new initiatives. The Comptroller shall work closely with the Operations Officers and CORs to ensure a high level of responsiveness to any Government concern related to invoicing matters.
    • Accounting Tasks
    • Comptroller is responsible for regular accounting tasks in the organization. These tasks include maintaining the payroll, handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing monthly income statements and updating the computerized accounting system. A comptroller also supervises periodic financial audits. If an external auditor does the audit, the comptroller collaborates with the auditor by providing the necessary documents required for the audit to be completed. Compliance with local and federal tax filing requirements.
    • Planning
    • Comptroller provides concrete financial information for the organization to make its future decisions. He or she also provides the financial forecast and a budget for planning.
    • Monitoring Function
    • Comptroller enhances the financial checks and controls to ensure integrity in financial reporting. He or she also monitors the cash flow within the organization. In addition, the holder of the position monitors the debit and credit and takes charge of the financial compliance functions to ensure compliance with the set financial transaction and reporting regulations. As part of the monitoring function, the comptroller may be required to formulate financial policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
    • Ability to think independently, and write and communicate clearly and concisely.
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, and ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
    • Active SECRET Security Clearance. 

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working for or with the Department of State either at KCC or NVC
    • A graduate degree in business or accounting along with certification as a Certified Public Accountant..
    • Alternatively, applicants with certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst or Certified Management Accountant. Advanced certification options for comptrollers include Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Government Financial Manager and Chartered Financial Analyst would also be preferred.
